THE LOVELY REJECTS

A film about youth, rebellion, and first love, The Lovely Rejects is the crime story of a young couple who met in chemotherapy. They can't afford their prescriptions and treatments so they decide to steal from medical facilities and pharmacies. They set themselves up as the Robin Hoods of pharmaceuticals, providing meds to those who can't afford it, and to those who simply want them recreationally. 

For the first time, they have figured out how to navigate a world that they have not been able to make sense of until now. 
Money, sex, drugs, thrills. They are finally in control. 
Until their adventures grow more dangerous and violent. They grow desperate for more money. Deception and secrets begin to threaten their relationship. 

The people in this film are characterized by their nostalgia for freedom filled youth, and the discovery of tender connections like their first kiss. 

They are angry, and they are desperate, and they fight for what they want. 

They make mistakes, and they have regrets. 

They are in love for the first time, a beautiful and complicated experience.
